I am guy from a city called Jena, located in Germany. As a DJ and party organizer. I’m active since 2007 as Big Breeze. I started out as a Reggae Selecta, but soon ruined my record crates with Dubstep and a ton of Jungle. Additionally, I found great interest in Crossbreed and Industrial Hardcore. The rawness and yet unheard sounddesigns caught my attention in no time. From 2015-2025 I took over Ausnahmezustand with Sake from two guys named Basler and Oli (thanks mates). After a short climax, the untameable music appeared to be caged into a formulaic, repetitive sounddesign. As with many others genres and musical movements, I became bored considering the current state of Hardcore in particular. This disillusionment led to the to discovery of Renoise (a hybrid between a Tracker and a DAW) and thus I started making my own music – if you want to call it like that. Even though Hardcore is the focal point of my musical endeavours, you can find traces of Jungle, Dub, or Noise in there as well. At the same time I also found new hope in rare but excellent releases I found while digging for the Ausnahmezustand blog
A few years ago, I started to create more and more visual arts. In the beginning, I wanted to come up with scenery and decorations for our parties. Later I also started making flyer artworks to save money. As with anything, the driving force behind everything was naiviety. And the understanding that you can do a lot of things DIY and create your own cosmos. While collages still remain at the heart of my two-dimensional approaches, my primary weapon of choice has become toilet paper. Nowadays, most of my three-dimensional art focuses on sculpted heads. They do not originate from any lore, nor can they be attributed to any direct cultural artifacts, yet I have to admit that I always have been a fan of fantasy as well as science fiction. You may can tell. My main interest lies on creating unseen structures that question common conceptions of form and biology. These abstract creatures may be understood as studies in extra-terrestrial lifeforms and shine a light on what awaits us, once we leave this place.
This however is misleading. While I myself would love to leave this place and be capable to experience the neverending space of our universe, I know that we are stuck. My only real escape from this terrible enivronment of hate and destruction is creating this art and spending time with my dear friends. Even though everything is falling apart, we should cherish these precious moments and ask ourself if other civilisations have to deal with the same selfishness, arrogance and outstanding imbecility of our kind. Big respect to everyone out there who isn’t a walking turd.
